Through the combined efforts of the Wellfleet Fire Department and Wellfleet Beach Department new Emergency 911 telephones are being installed on all four (4) Town owned ocean side beaches. This project should be completed tomorrow.
If you have an emergency (and please ONLY a 911 emergency):
- Go to the telephone, open the door; - Pick up the telephone hand set; - The phone automatically dials 911 and you will be connected to one of our emergency dispatchers; - Report your emergency, your location and whether you need an ambulance, fire or police response; - Each phone location is already pre-programmed as to which beach you are located.
Please have a safe and enjoyable summer!
